In 2007, Staples purchased a regional New England IT support company, Thrive Networks. The plan was to implement a national roll-out of this new service targeting CIOs and CFOs of small to medium-sized companies. Print, radio and email featuring the ubiquitous “liberated” stamp, directed people to the “itliberated.com” website – empowering them to declare their liberation from the daily hassles of managing their IT infrastructure and focus on growing their businesses.
